It is with immense sadness that we lost a great friend of INtuition recently. Sinead was a credit to many of the INtuition courses over the years, notably Dahab May 2008, Prasonisi July 2009, Ireland 2009, Dahab Nov 2009- many of you have been fortunate enough to enjoy her and Brian's company over the years. Sinead had been fighting cancer and carve gybing for many years. She conquered carve gybing and I remember her exclaiming with such delight "I am so fekking proud of myself!" Her smiles on the water and banter on the beach were always a total high and she ensured no one knew she was enduring chemotherapy, not for herself, but for the happiness of everyone around her. Before the courses she might email me saying she would need some time off during the next course, but then she'd be charging harder than most throughout the week, she never missed a social or a session on the water! Sinead Kavanagh was a total star and lived for windsurfing. The last time I saw her she was sailing out into Kamakaze in Dahab very keen on trying some wave sailing. She'd already postponed her flight home week after week and for all I knew she'd stay out in the rolling seas for months. She lost her battle with cancer this month, but will be remembered for winning so many friends, smiles, carve gybes and time on the water! Reeespect Sinead, we will sincerely miss you.
